Relaxation and Sedation

Relative Analgesia

Nitrous oxide and oxygen is often known as 'laughing gas'. It helps you relax before and during treatment and while you are still awake you feel detached from what is going on around you.

Many people describe it as a floating sensation, sometimes accompanied by tingling in your arms and legs. This type of relaxation sedation is suitable for both children and adults and has no after-effects.

IV Sedation

This is a deeper form of sedation than gas and air. You may not remember your treatment time and will require an escort to take you home, where you can rest for the day under the supervision of a responsible adult.
